One of the last fully indoor malls around. This place seems to attract more gang members than families though. Most of the stores with a separate outdoor entrance do fine, but walking down the middle of the mall is not for me.
It's just your standard run of the mill mall, there is a theatre inside as well ass access to a Sears. The stores usually change pretty quick every couple years or so, so there is a fever changing variety of what they can offer. The food court is decent, and as usual for a mall, everything is over priced.
Newgate Mall is really great. The size is a bit smaller compared to some of the malls around the state, specifically the Salt Lake Valley malls. However, I love this mall because it does have plenty of small shops to go to, and they hold small events sometimes, especially through the holiday months. Quite a few choices in the food court as well to get a quick bite to eat.
The Newgate mall has quite a few stores that are diverse in there variety and background. The food court still is in need of some food that will sustain you instead of just snack type food. The mall could use some updating and some deep cleaning especially in the tile flooring.
At the west side, the handicapped door does not open. If you can open the door yourself or have someone that can open it for you, you are in good shape. But if not, I guess the mall doesn't want their business. It would also be nice to have some sort of transportation inside the mall for adults. One last thing, not everyone drives. Some of us have to wait for someone to come pick us up. A bench would be appreciated. Sitting on the edge of the planter can be painful.
