Great store with a lot of variety. Tons of candy, western style clothing, outdoor lawn and garden supplies, firearms, fishing and camping gear. There's something for everyone here, including military surplus. They're removing most of the coolest stuff that they have always been known for, which is unfortunate. They also close really early so we only make it out on Saturdays.
That place has every thing except a grocery section. From hunting and fishing to clothes, shoes, tools and some military surplus. Great firearm selection. Even things you don't expect like the apple peeler/slicer that also cores the apple all in one easy action (I bought one and it works great). I enjoy that store and the prices are reasonable.
The stare has.quite a variety of different things you would need around the house or farm for the do it yourself kind of person. Some different 'departments' are tack, camping, kitchen wares and canning, candy, army surplus, Ace Hardware, Dutch oven and BBQ supplies, rope of all kind, western style clothing, gloves and boots and I probably missed something. The old saying 'if we don't have it you don't need it' probably fits. One thing for sure abut this store is the staff is always happy and cheerful which I always enjoy. Everyone I go there there is always something new to see. Worth the trip thereport if you have never been. They are opening a new store in West Jordan, UT August 2017. It will be smaller but worth stopping by to check it out.
Love these warehouse surplus stores. This one is a little different with offerings of new name brand full priced items. This place is big. Basically when Thinking about what you'll find at Smith and Edwards, think of a small harbor freight mixed with what is now the (modern) Army Navy surplus stores, a full Ace hardware store and Ben Franklin's; and then a mix of inexpensive local and non-retail "as seen on tv" type products plus a Big 5 sporting goods with the candy isle from a grocery store. As with most places you need to pay attention to the pricing. Some items are the same price if not more than other department and big box stores. Another unusual positive thing Smith and Edwards has going for it is the excess employees that all seem to be in a good mood and helpful. Thank you nice clean store with some good finds and unique buys.
