We used Home Depot for window installation... while the cheapest option, it was a nightmare. No communication between contractors, re measuring, wrong information given to us about window sizing/coding, took forever. It wasn't a positive experience at all. Decided to give them a second chance for installing carpets and tile in a rental home... same exact thing. Missed orders, no communication with contractors, installation wrong, delayed dates... it hasn't been a great experience for us. Go elsewhere.
I bought a turkey deep fryer here and some dirty basterd pulled all the most important things out and returned the box and they didn't even look through the it. So when I tried to use it we couldn't. Don't purchase from here bad customer service
Ordered a dishwasher and was set to deliver. They give you a 4 hour window the day before and you don't get to pick the time. So we waited on a Saturday evening from 4-8PM. At 8:05 delivery called and said they weren't coming. Rescheduled for Tuesday. I told them we needed after 6:00 PM because of work. Said they would try to accomodate. Got the email the night before saying delivery would be 12-4...? Called them and they said they would talk to the driver and call me in the morning. No call. Finally at 9:00 PM that night I called the store. Like me, they couldn't get through to the delivery service OR home depot customer care. Said she would have the manager call me in the morning. No call. At 1:30 I called. They patched me through to the delivery person who said the dishwasher never made it on the truck... really? Wanted to reschedule for a WEEK later! So I called the store manager. Said they could go get it and deliver it to me but "thats not ideal." Well waiting over 8 hours (2 delivery windows) and still not having it delivered AND no phone calls is not "ideal" for me or "ideal" customer care.
Customer service was good. I returned some items. Home Depot generally has what I need. Prices are competitive with your other big box stores.
I've had a very bad and stressful experience with this Home Depot. I called to order carpet and vinyl flooring. I had a hard time getting anyone to call me back, the carpet was finally installed (wrongly) after a long time but the vinyl was delayed because the staff made a mistake in not doing just one order. So I was left waiting 6 weeks for my vinyl installation and was told it was going to be a certain price. I went through the measurement quote myself to verify I was getting charged correctly and found out they were charging me for 785 square feet of material when I only had 303 square feet of vinyl area I wanted done. I called to ask why that was wrong and the only answer I got was that it had something to do with the pattern of the vinyl. I called a different flooring contractor the next day and they said I could get my flooring the next day, NOT 6 WEEKS LATER!!! Go local, don't use Home Depot.
